Week 040/102: maandag 29 februari email van Elder Meads

A good week in Rotterdam

This week was full of very exciting stuff.  I have two people who I really love, and their names are Pedro and Dominka. They were dropped investigators, but last week they actually came to church, and that was really exciting. Well this week they were moving to Portugal, and said they needed help moving out, so we made them dinner and went over. Moving them out was fun because they had to stuff their whole lives into a small car and drive that car to Portugal. It was a challenge to get everything in and fitted just right so that everything had a place.  Of course, they couldn't take everything. That meant they were leaving a lot of stuff behind. I didn´t want to seem rude and grabby, so I just focused on giving the service.  When all was safely packed in though, we elders gained a Wok for our efforts.  I also ended up with a set of cool samurai swords! Yeah buddy!

Once we finished moving them out, Pedro left to go and exchange beer bottles for a few euros so they could buy snacks for their trip. Pedro returned only 15 seconds after he left, and said that Dominka should come out and see what was happening. I poked my head out and saw orange lights flashing everywhere and apparently they had a boot on their car with a 650 euro ticket to pay. That was an interesting situation to say goodbye to.

Well the week continued as most others with the standard missionary work.  Then, we had an awesome less active 20ish year old guy give us a call. He'd won some kind of prize, which was 300 euro worth of paintball. He´s been really buddy buddy with all the missionaries, so we all got permission to go paint balling which was really really exciting. I´ll include a picture. I wrecked face in there, and had a blast doing it.

That was my week, how was yours? Send me an email of what´s going on, I´ll appreciate it for sure. Stay frizzy  -Elder Meads

The first few are in a catholic church. I thought it was so beautiful inside. The last one is an investigator we now have who´s but 13 years of age. She´s pretending to be a ninja in my scarf. Here's hoping!
