Zondag 22 november, 2015 zendingskantoor aankondiging:

From: Belgium/Netherlands Mission <2015900@ldschurch.org>
Date: Sun, Nov 22, 2015 at 2:18 AM
Subject: Paris Incident
To:

Dear Parents of the wonderful missionaries in the Belgium/Netherlands Mission,

We love your children!  They are healthy, well, and safe.  In light of the recent tragedies in France and possible unrest in Belgium, I want you to know we are proactively taking steps to avoid impact on our missionaries.
For those serving in Belgium, we will not be holding church meetings in Brussels.  The other cities do not appear to be threatened.  Our missionaries assigned to Brussels will not be working there until we receive security clearance.
The missionaries will be adhering to the guidelines established by the Europe Area offices in Frankfurt.  These directives are continually under review.
  • Give increased emphasis to being obedient to all mission rules.
  • Know proper communication and reporting procedures and know what to do in case of emergency. For example, missionaries have been taught how to use the equivalent of “911”which is “112”.
  • Always know how to get to the nearest hospital.
  • Avoid crowded areas and tourist destinations. Do not follow large crowds and avoid rough neighborhoods.
  • Do not bring groups of missionaries together and, for the time being, do not go on companionship exchanges.
  • Carry proper identification at all times and remain respectful and compliant to the direction of security personnel.
  • Leave any area where security personnel are gathering to avoid being affected by any security operations.
  • Do not travel to major cities from outlying areas, except for necessary mission approved activities.
  • Plans to have missionaries Christmas carol activities in public have been suspended.

Thank  you for your continued prayers for our missionaries. They are remarkable men and women!  We trust in D&C 6:36 “Look unto me in every thought: doubt not, fear not.”  It is a joy to be in the service of our Savior with your child.

Warmest Regards,

President Bunnell
