Week 023/ 102: maandag 2 november e-mail van Elder Meads

The Lord's work is moving forward in Assen slowly as always. But we have a few hopeful lessons this week, so cross your fingers they don't cancel on us. My testimony of the Lord’s work has definitely improved even if appointments getting canceled is the usual thing here. My Dutch is very good I must say. The grammar is starting to finally come along. I do have very bad Dutch days sometimes, but all is good. Something I've learned while out here, is that Dutch people are very honest. So, if they think you look fatter than yesterday or smell funny or your Dutch is bad, they will let you know. They're not being mean or anything. I guess they see it as they're just being honest. I’ll be working on my Dutch learning curve till I get it right.

The ward members have been a lot of help. Broeder De Jonge is definintly wonderful to have, but seriously, they're all helpful. Harp says it's the most missionary minded branch in the entire misison. Everyone is willing to help us not only with our Dutch but with doing missionary work. Okay, talk to you guys later! -Elder Meads
